Ron Helus Scholarship of Valor

During the tragic events of November 2018, Moorpark lost a hero in resident and Ventura County Sheriff Sergeant Ron Helus.

In honor and remembrance of Sergeant Helus, the Rotary Club of Moorpark Morning, with the support of the Helus Family, established the Ron Helus Scholarship of Valor. The scholarship is awarded annually to a Moorpark student interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement. Funds are being raised to support an endowment allowing this scholarship to continue annually.

We continue to fundraise to reach an endowment of $25,000 to help support this scholarship. We often have Facebook fundraisers, restaurant nights or other events to help us achieve our goal. Please contact us if you would like to give to this cause.
