Connecting local generosity with local need for support to provide resources for our community

Conejo Community Outreach (CCO) is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit.  We are a 100 percent volunteer-driven organization whose board is comprised of six local women in Conejo Valley, California.

We aim to connect local generosity with local need for support by hosting a variety of community fundraising events that directly give back to individuals and families in the Conejo Valley. We believe that communities gain strength when all residents are appropriately clothed and fed.

Each year, CCO hosts an annual Conejo Community Thanksgiving event that provides meals to local families for Thanksgiving. In 2018, the event supported 54 families — comprised of more than 320 people — with options for either pre-cooked meals or ingredients packages. In addition to our annual Thanksgiving event, we support the community through a year-round community diaper bank, a free supplemental resource to individuals and families in Conejo Valley (and immediate surrounding areas). To date, we've distributed more than 125,000 diapers to families in our community (75,000 of these diapers since March 2020). For resources we don't directly offer, we work with those in our community to respond to requests for assistance outside of our parameter of service.

In addition to the resources we provide, CCO believes it's important to connect with and support other local groups and organizations which all positively impact our community in different areas, and our board members regularly support and volunteer (when possible) for James Storehouse, Family Service Club Conejo Valley, Casa Pacifica, Manna, Lutheran Social Services and beyond.
