Sergeant, California Highway Patrol (Ventura Area)
John is a 27-year law enforcement officer, and former military officer (Infantry Captain, US Army Reserve). He attended Western New England College on an ROTC Scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the US Army Reserve in 1992. Following graduation John attended the US Army Infantry school in Ft. Benning, Georgia and was assigned to the 10th Mountain Division.
John started his law enforcement career in 1993 as a correctional officer and SRT team member with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, in Brooklyn, New York. In 1998 He moved to San Diego, California where he joined the U.S. Border Patrol and primarily patrolled the southern border in Chula Vista, CA he was also assigned temporary duties in Douglas, Arizona.
In 1999 John met his future wife who works for the Ventura County Probation Agency as a Supervisory Deputy Probation Officer, which led him to joining the California Highway Patrol. He was assigned to the Ventura and West Valley CHP offices as a patrol Officer and in 2017 John promoted to Sergeant in the South Los Angeles CHP office, he then worked his way back home transferring back to the West Valley CHP office and then back home to the Ventura CHP
