Matt Crater comes to Moorpark having previously worked at the College of the Canyons (COC) the past eight years. He served in multiple roles at COC including Student Athlete Support Coordinator, Assistant Head Football Coach, and as an Adjunct Kinesiology Instructor.
Prior to College of the Canyons, Crater served as an Athletics Academic Advisor and Assistant Football Coach at Los Angeles Valley College from 2009 to 2013.
Crater earned a master's degree from Fresno Pacific University in Kinesiology and bachelor's degree from the University of Montana – Western in Secondary Education. Crater is also a proud former California Community College Student Athlete having played football at Yuba College.
On being named Athletic Director, Matt said “I am truly excited to be a part of Moorpark College, the Raiders athletics department, and the community in which the college serves.
