John Bagnall joined Los Angeles Police Department in 1976. He served as a police officer first in Van Nuys and then Hollywood. He made Detective and workedin the homicide department in Van Nuys and was working during the Rodney King riots. He became a Field Sargent and moved to the Willshire Division and served for a brief time in the Rampart Division. John then moved to the Detective Bureau to head up the fraud squad where they worked on anything from pick pockets to elaborate Ponzi schemes.
After retirement, John continues to serve the community; he is a board member of Southeast Ventura County YMCA and is an active member of Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise.
