Josh Damigo

Josh Damigo will cheerfully admit that he averaged less than a dozen people a show when he first began playing San Diego coffee houses and clubs, but he garnered diehard fans in the process and sold a few thousand copies of his homemade CDs along the way.

After a traumatic family incident Josh retreated inward, and he ended up writing what would ultimately become his breakout album, Raw. The recording was true to its name and people noticed - Josh picked up two San Diego Music Awards for "Best Acoustic" and "Best Local Recording," opened for the likes of Zac Brown, Jason Mraz, Shawn Colvin, Switchfoot, Shawn Mullins, and Matt Nathanson, and had enough money and momentum to tour the country a few times over. Three albums later, Josh Damigo has become a hardened veteran in the difficult world of indie singer/songwriters all while earning his master’s degree in Organizational Management.

One of the hardest working musicians in Southern California, Josh has also become the fresh, new face of two local Ventura County Chambers of Commerce: The Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce and The Ventura Chamber of Commerce, and he was responsible for creating and hosting many events for the organizations during the Covid-19 Pandemic. “It’s much easier than playing shows...” says Damigo. “...I’m handed a timeline, follow directions, and make people smile the whole time... and nobody ever asks me to sing!”

Josh Damigo is the West Coast Client Manager for USA and Canada for Influence Ecology, the leading business education in Transactional Competenceô, and his most recent accomplishments include winning “Young Professional of the Year” for the Ventura Chamber of Commerce and named to the “40 under 40” list for the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce. He lives on the beach in Ventura with his Jack Russel Poodle mix rescue named “Buddy”.
